The premiere of Dries Van Noten, without Dries Van Noten at PFW
Dries Van Noten has retired from the runway after presenting his final men's show in June. It was the brand's first show without its original designer.
Despite the constant transfer window for creative directors, Dries Van Noten ’s departure resonated differently. The great houses that change hands were launched decades, even centuries, ago, and new creative directors arrive with the mission of refreshing the legacy that already exists, not replacing a living founder.
Due to its uniqueness in the industry, the position of creative director at Dries Van Noten is difficult to fill, and this first collection for the spring/summer 2025 season , without its founder, is the work of the label's design studio. We logically discover familiar silhouettes, among lush colours, patterns, embroidery, and a certain mix of Eastern and Western dress codes.
