PFW: Valentino L’École Spring-Summer 2024 : A Celebration of Femininity
Pierpaolo Piccioli's Latest Collection, Revealed at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, Honors the Female Form as a Beacon of Freedom and a Manifestation of Empowerment.
Skin is a fabric, according to the new Valentino collection. Indeed here nudity presents itself as a natural state, and not a provocation. An obviously feminist impulse, which is illustrated in particular through simple clothing, directly linked to the body - t-shirts, shirts, jeans, all in cotton poplin softened with silk - but also openwork dresses, revealing just the right amount of skin. For the show, artist FKA Twigs offered a performance in keeping with the collection. “Over the past few months, Pierpaolo and I have spoken about the desire for outsider art and the lack of expression in our industries,” commented the artist. “ The way a woman, without makeup and with her hair down, can exist with strength and power. He told me I was that woman. »
At the same time, the house introduced its new bag, the VLogo Moon Bag: crescent moon, supple and malleable, it literally molds to the shape of the body, becoming one with the person who wears it. Discover the parade in pictures.
