Inspired by the slender lines of the Concorde, a mythical and emblematic aircraft of civil aviation and the elliptical curves of the earth seen from the sky, the Ellipse collection by Restrepo presents a new Opus Mach 2 with a 3-counter chronograph function.

With a very <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/look-outfit-beach-fashion-inspired-by-icons-60s-70s-80s" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Seventie's</a> general line, the Ellipse Mach 2 Automatic Chrono is certainly a very original <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/fashion/tom-ford-ocean-plastic-sport-camo-sustainable-luxury-watch" target="_blank" rel="noopener">watch</a>, a UFO in the figurative sense as well as in the literal sense for its forms seeming to come from a science fiction comic book. Elliptical case with a saucer profile, pushers at 12 o'clock and two-tone dial particularly designed to combine readability with an aesthetic all in curved segments adorned with two large numerals 9 and 3 in an unusual arrangement, all compete to give this chronograph a character assertive and very original. &nbsp;

This Mach 2 Chrono model takes its name from the speed of the Concorde during its historic AF 002 Paris-New York flights, as explained by its creator Federico Restrepo, an atypical man in the professional world of <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/design/pinko-presents-pink-o-paradise-during-milano-design-week-2023-milano-salone-del-mobile" target="_blank" rel="noopener">design</a> and watchmaking. Artist, philosopher and inventor, his Restrepo Ellipse Mach 2 Chrono model is the result of years of research and aesthetic commitment. It is of course made, completely bespoke, in the greatest Swiss watchmaking tradition: Swiss 316 L steel case measuring 48.7 x 37.9mm fitted with a self-winding Valjoux 7750 chronograph movement with C&ocirc;tes de Gen&egrave;ve decoration, visible through the <a href="https://www.lofficielibiza.com/culture/craziest-celebrity-couple-gifts-of-all-time-jlo-ben-affleck-beyonce-jay-z" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sapphire</a> case back. The time and chronograph indications are read on an enamel dial in pastel colours evoking the colours of the gyroscope on the Concorde dashboard with numerous details and appliqu&eacute;s and large straight hands treated with luminova. On the case, the crown and its two engraved pushers, one of which is also blued, are unusually arranged at 12 o'clock, while the layout of the counters remains very classic, small seconds at 6 o'clock, 30' totalizer at 9 o'clock and time at 3 a.m. The elliptical case is set on an exclusive steel link bracelet with a secret folding clasp. The invisible attachment of the latter is also a patented invention of Federico Restrepo. A wear-resistant rubber strap is also supplied to allow this 50m-resistant chronograph to be worn in all circumstances. Guaranteed for 2 years, the Ellipse Mach 2 Chrono Restrepo will be produced in 99 pieces numbered from 001 to 099. This unique watch with its original design will undoubtedly delight the most discerning enthusiasts. &nbsp;
