The new era of Sergio Rossi and the appointment of Paul Andrew as creative director

Italian shoe brand Sergio Rossi has officially entered the Paul Andrew era with his new appointment as creative director.

New news for the Italian footwear brand Sergio Rossi: Paul Andrew has been appointed as the new Creative Director, effective immediately. “I am honoured and delighted to join Sergio Rossi as Creative Director, a world-renowned footwear brand whose roots and legacy speak to the enduring power of Italian craftsmanship,” said Paul Andrew in a press release . “I am thrilled to build on this foundation, combining Sergio Rossi’s unique spirit of innovation and high-end craftsmanship as we shape a brilliant new vision for the brand.” With an impressive resume of work experience at luxury fashion houses - Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Narciso Rodriguez and Alexander McQueen - after his last creative direction at Salvatore Ferragamo from 2016 to 2019, he will return to the scene with the Italian footwear brand founded in 1951.

“He is admired around the world for his innovative footwear design and his fluidity and technical mastery. He brings a deep respect for our brand’s heritage, an instinctive understanding of our diverse customer base and, above all, a creative vibrancy that will capture the imagination of the Sergio Rossi woman of today and tomorrow,” commented Helen Wright , CEO of Sergio Rossi. In addition to taking the creative helm of the brand, he will continue to spearhead his eponymous brand, which he founded in 2013 and for which he was the first footwear designer and youngest brand ever to win the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award. His proposition always coincides with functional elements that do not transcend aesthetics and qualitative durability.
