After ten years at Loewe, the Argentine designer Adrian Appiolaza arrives at the helm of the historic Milanese brand founded by Franco Moschino, succeeding Davide Renne and Jeremy Scott.
Who is Moschino's new creative director Adrian Appiolaza?
Born in Buenos Aires in 1972, he cultivated creativity in his grandmother's tailoring shop, learning the basics of his future work. His passion for English music drove him to London, where he discovered a varied artistic universe. After his first experiences with Alexander McQueen and Miguel Adrover , Adrian Appiolaza was noticed by Phoebe Philo : «It was Phoebe Philo who changed the course of my career: she saw my graduate collection and, in 2002, invited me to join her at Chloé ». Thus starting a career that spanned fashion houses such as Miu Miu , from 2006 to 2010, then again Chloé , where he spent two years under the guidance of Clare Waight Keller , Louis Vuitton during the Marc Jacobs years and finally Loewe , where, alongside JW Anderson has been dealing with women's ready-to-wear for ten years.
