It's a been a beautiful year here at L'OFFICIEL IBIZA, with the launch of both our print edition and our online platform. We've brought you the very best of Ibiza's art, culture, fashion and music. We've covered everything from parties to pop icons, actors to artists and retreats to revolutions. We've danced, discovered, swum, celebrated, explored and eaten our way around this most magical and mystical of islands and we've had you with us the whole way. To sum up a wonderful first year, we've rounded up the eight articles you resonated with the most. Thank you for being on this journey with us.
The most-loved stories of 2022
The common thread that links the articles you loved the most is undoubtedly a theme of authenticity. Whether that's genre-defying Iranian film star Golshifteh Farahani sharing her exile in 2009 for shattering accepted religious and cultural taboos; Spanish writer Igor Ramírez García-Peralta unravelling a deeply personal island love affair or fashion force Annie Doble unlocking her very own Dalt Vila, these are stories from the heart, told by the people who love Ibiza the most.
We've heard from Queen Bee herself Serena Cook about the twenty years she's invested in nurturing the authentic side of Ibiza. We've visited CircoLoco - arguably the planet's finest underground club night - and heard from founder Antonio Carbonaro how it's a place reserved for for 'raw music lovers.' We've hit up the island's coolest and quirkiest beach bars with wander woman Taryn Ross and we've had personal party tips galore from Ibiza's innovative, inspirational, international community of seekers, dreamers and magic makers.
In nine glorious months we have unpicked, unpacked and unravelled the stories that make Ibiza what it is: a kaleidoscopic collage of history, tradition and culture; a surreal, shimmering speck in the Mediterranean sea and the place we've chosen to call home. Happy Christmas.
