Dua Lipa Is In The New Barbie Movie As Blue-Haired Mermaid
We've known a few things about the live-action movie adaptation of Barbie since the first trailer came out in December, and we were anticipating a few things with high expectations. As the official 24 brand-new characters showed up in the released posters, our first look at the entire cast confirmed some of the rumours among fans starting shortly after the first trailer: You were right- Dua Lipa is in the Barbie movie!
As we can see in the nostalgic posters prepared for the movie's promotion, many famous names join the fantastic Barbie line up, giving life to different versions of Barbie and Ken. But on the other hand, among these names, one poster with the tail detail also draws special attention. The newest Barbie girl Dua Lipa, with a long blue wig, shimmering blue eye makeup and tanned skin with a reminiscent '80s vibe, is featured on the movie poster with a metallic sheen blue shell top, a sparkly necklace paired with huge pearl earrings, and a blue-white mermaid tail.
America Ferrera, Helen Mirren, Will Ferrell, Issa Rae, Simu Liu, Michael Cera, and Kate McKinnon are among other surprise names who joined the dollhouse of the upcoming Greta Gerwig's "Barbie" movie. While Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling will play the original Barbie and Ken, there is no doubt that we will see the newly announced names in the movie as different versions of the dolls. While we are excited to see many different versions of Barbies and Kens from these talented actors who join the team, we are excited about the acting performance of the beautiful singer Dua Lipa who will perform among these brilliant actors. And there is another question: Will Dua Lipa sing? After all, if we consider that she plays a mermaid, we can more or less guess the answer to this question.
The Barbie movie will hit theatres on July 21.
