Adrian Appiolaza's debut fashion show for Moschino Autumn/Winter 24
Without a doubt the most anticipated debut of Milan Fashion Week. The new creative director presents the autumn winter 2024-25 collection.
MOSCHINO THE WOMEN'S AND MEN'S SHOW AUTUMN WINTER 2024-25
We are at the debut of the new creative director Adrian Appiolaza at Moschino, who decides to reposition the counters to zero, just like the title of the autumn winter 2024-25 fashion show "Collezione 0" . The Permanente Museum is tinged with a grey sky with white clouds, almost symbolizing an air of uncertainty. The first impression is to expect the usual tribute to the House of Moschino, that of the founder Franco Moschino, and created in a didactic manner. Instead we find ourselves faced with a show made up of re-elaborations of stylistic and aesthetic codes mixed with the right dose of current social issues. The models parade directed by Michele Rizzo and the attitude appears to be more solemn than pop.
The trompe l'oeil technique captures the attention of spectators with prints of suspenders, guêpières, ties that twist around the neck of white t-shirts. Moschino 's new creative vision also emerges with the irreverent, diversified and mixed-up styling: the stockings are not worn but still remain attached to the suspenders, the hats are tripled, the trench coat sleeves are placed on headpieces with a couturish character, the ties become belts and the pearl necklaces lengthen until they also become shoulder pads that wrap around the silhouette. And finally the loud style, another Moschino trademark, with manifesto dresses bearing the words "Peace", messages of peace & love and the enormous questionmark that questions observers on the historical period we are living in, and why not, on the uncertain future that will await us.
Adrian Appiolaza's first fashion show is a reflection on the soul of Moschino in full respect of its cultural and aesthetic heritage. A current women's and men's autumn winter 2024-25 collection, which reflects the authenticity of the brand.
