Cherry red may have dominated the Spring/Summer 2024 runways, but olive green is the Autumn/Winter 2024 colour trend to know.

Fashion week has finally come to a close, leaving us with a plethora of trends to inspire our Autumn/Winter 2024 wardrobes. However, amid the array of fashion, beauty, and hair trends, the notable standout was the prominence of the olive green colour trend.

Whether you immerse yourself in the whirlwind of fashion week updates or prefer to casually observe, one thing was unmistakable: cherry red was the colour that dominated the Spring/Summer 2024 runways. You've seen it on celebrities, It girls, and all over your socials. Who could miss the unforgettable cherry red iteration of Gucci’s iconic Jackie bag for Sabato de Sarno’s debut collection?

But, as the seasons shift, so too do colour trends. So, it’s time to step aside cherry red. There’s a new It girl colour of the season. The olive green colour trend was certainly a sensation in the Autumn/Winter 2024 runways. From French luxury houses to up-and-coming New York-based brands, designers have embraced the stunning earthy tone with fervor, weaving it into their collections with creativity and finesse.

Some shows like Chloé and Hermès incorporated only a handful of olive greens. Still, on the runways of Bottega Veneta, Ferragamo, Gucci, Fendi, Saint Laurent, and Burberry, designers made sure the earthy hue dominated the show. Whether it was top-to-bottom or subtle accents, the message was clear: the olive green colour trend was the undeniable star of the season.
