Phoebe Philo will return with her eponymous brand in September 2023

After leaving Céline in 2017, she disappeared from the radar to put her Phoebe Philo Studios in London on track. Here she is ready to launch her eponymous brand in September 2023 thanks to the support of LVMH. It is essential for Phoebe to take an independent path, which will allow her to reconnect with her fans spread across the four corners of the globe.

Phoebe Philo will return with her eponymous brand in September 2023

Phoebe Philo is officially coming back into fashion as part of a new project with LVMH in September 2023. The announcement was shared on social media, and the website www.phoebephilo.com will be open for registrations from July 2023 .

At the beginning of 2020, rumors were already circulating that Phoebe Philo had not yet finished her career in fashion . Today, that call has been heard, as The Business of Fashion has announced that after a three-year hiatus from fashion, Philo will return. This time, she's the head of Phoebe Philo Studios , a clothing and accessories label "rooted in exceptional quality and design" . Here's what we know so far.

LVMH would have acquired a minority stake in the new brand, leaving space and freedom of decision to the British designer. Since leaving Céline in 2017, the fashion world has been eagerly awaiting her return, so much so that she has dedicated an Instagram account to her followed by fans and insiders: @oldceline .

“Being in my studio and starting to design again was exciting and incredibly satisfying,” Philo said in a statement shared with BoF. "I look forward to reconnecting with my audience and the people who have followed me. Being independent, ruling and experimenting on my own terms is extremely meaningful to me."

Speculation was rife that she would take over as Chanel manager or inherit the role of creative director from the late Azzedine Alaïa . This news, however, seems much more suited to Philo's DNA as a trendsetter.
"I have had a very constructive and creative working relationship with LVMH for many years. It is therefore only natural that we have returned to this new project", she added. Bernard Arnault, Chairman and CEO of LVMH, described Phoebe Philo as "one of the most talented designers of our time" and added: "I am very happy to collaborate with Phoebe in her entrepreneurial adventure and wish her a lot of hit."
