Conceived in 2007 and reinvented many times since then, the Galleria bag is Prada's archetype, neoclassical. The bag is named after the house where Prada's historic flagship in Milan is located - the famous Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, where Mario Prada founded the Prada brand boutique in 1913.
