Daniel Roseberry physically presents - for the first time - Schiaparelli's Fall/Winter 2023 Ready-to-Wear collection during Paris Fashion Week.
Daniel Roseberry 's first Ready-to-wear show for Schiaparelli is finally on stage. To date, we have only seen his Alta Moda collections on the catwalk. The curtain opens on an imaginary that pays homage to the incredible heritage of Elsa Schiaparelli , the one who decades ago made it possible to associate the world of art with fashion. In fact, the creative flair of the visionary founder of this fashion house has never lost its very particular allure over time, always remaining up-to-date and of disproportionate elegance. The distinctive features of Elsa's work are still the undisputed protagonists today, such as the icon of the lock, the anatomical references and the details of the dressmaker's ribbon, symbols we cannot do without.
This imaginative universe is now well described by Daniel Roseberry, a designer born in Texas, chosen in 2019 by the owner Diego Della Valle as the creative guide of this famous fashion house, which has been entrusted with the difficult task of renovating. On the catwalk, an entire wardrobe complete with everything from white poplin shirts to velvet cocktail dresses, a perfect mix between the irreverence and theatrics that distinguish Schiaparelli.
The Ready-to-wear collection for Fall/Winter 2023 is the perfect combination of the great classics in neutral colors, masculine fabrics, from the iconic Face Bag to the new Schiap Bag - a quilted baguette embellished with embossed details . Among the footwear we find sculptural golden toes and hyper-glamorous leather boots. Then the bijoux, another emblematic element of this maison, from golden lilies to oyster shells. Each garment, accessory or shoe on the catwalk seems to "scream" an instinctive message of strength in the name of beauty.
