Non-alcoholic cocktails, the recipes of Mattia Pastori for Franco's Bar in Positano
Drink well yes, but without alcohol. This is what the trend of non-alcoholic drinks consists of, arriving in the best Italian clubs, such as Franco's Bar in Positano.
Is it possible to drink well without alcohol? The answer from Mattia Pastori , award-winning bartender and beverage consultant for many Italian venues, is affirmative. Confirming that the trend of zero alcohol cocktails is raging all over the world, including Italy, more and more bars are expanding their drink list with non- alcoholic cocktail proposals. "Consumers, especially the younger ones, are very careful to seek a healthy lifestyle, which includes a balanced diet and distances themselves from excess alcohol" says Pastori. “At the bar counter, these principles translate into the demand for low-alcohol blends, accompanied by as many non- alcoholic drink options ”.
It is a real revenge of the mocktails , which we have been hearing about for years, but which have never managed to capture as much attention as today. “ Non- alcoholic cocktails will be the protagonists of summer 2021, presenting themselves with a new sophisticated dimension, thanks to recipes created with home-made syrups, quality zero-alcohol distillates and seasonal ingredients. The presentation? Minimal and with more trendy colours, such as pink" . For those who want to get an idea of the 2021 non-alcoholic cocktail trends, here are three zero alcohol drink recipes studied by Mattia Pastori for Franco's Bar at the Hotel Le Sirenuse in Positano .
