Among the big names in competition , Francis Ford Coppola returns to the Croisette after many years with the new film "Megalopolis" . While after the great critical and public success with "Povere Creature!" , Yorgos Lanthimos presents "Kinds of kindness" at Cannes . The only Italian director in competition is Paolo Sorrentino with "Parthenope" . Among the Hollywood celebrities on the red carpet of the festival, the beautiful Selena Gomez , at Cannes for her performance in "Emilia P&eacute;rez" by Jacques Audiard, Barry Keoghan with "Bird" by Andrea Arnold and Jacob Elordi with Paul Schrader's "Oh, Canada" (with Uma Thurman and Richard Gere ).
