Inspired by the trident of the mythological Poseidon, these new creations express energy, power and strength.
Like spears, the sharp points of Poseidon's trident have inspired a whole series of necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings with a punk look, available in yellow gold or titanium. “This collection challenges the conventions of fine jewellery design ,” commented Alexandre Arnault, Executive Vice President, Product, Communications and Industry at Tiffany & Co. “It represents the balance between Pharrell's creative vision and the craftsmanship of "Tiffany & Co.'s inventive art."
An unexpected departure from the traditional diamond setting, the pavé displays diamonds set in reverse, while the use of titanium provides a contrast with the moderate reflective power of the material. “The use of black titanium? A physical manifestation of the beauty of blackness,” explained Pharrell, who confirms that every detail is entirely intentional. Nothing was chosen at random, not even the name of the collection. “I am very inspired by water: Titan is inspired by Poseidon - master of the oceans, King of Atlantis - and 'Atlantis' is also the name of the neighborhood where I grew up in Virginia Beach. »
