Next Stop, MSGM. The autumn winter 2024-25 men's fashion show
On the mezzanine of the Porta Venezia metro stop, Massimo Giorgetti centers the focus of the collection, taking inspiration from the practice of the architect and urban planner Franco Albini who created the design of the Milan Metro. A reflection on the speed of everyday life and lost time.
THE MSGM AUTUMN WINTER 2024-25 SHOW AT THE MILAN FASHION WEEK
«This is a collection full of meaning, a reflection on speed and the present» begins Massimo Giorgetti backstage who brought his latest autumn winter 2024-25 men's collection on stage at the Porta Venezia M1 stop. From the first releases, one perceives the intention to celebrate the work of the designer Franco Albini - creator of the signs and layout of the red Metro of Milan inaugurated in 1964 - for which MSGM enters into a collaboration with the Franco Albini Foundation. The red tubular handrails of the Milan metro become pins on tailored coats, color block graphics for sweaters and color contrasts that appear on looks.
On the parade are silver and gold metallic sweaters, padded shirts adorned with Swarovski, everyday suits and talking sweatshirts bearing the disarming message: “Every smile you fake”. «An idea of glamor emerges in the collection, from the contrasting fur collars and liquid sequin tops to the glitz sweaters inspired by Christmas tree decorations. While for the prints that represent speed we have started a collaboration with Google Pixel 8."
