Issey Miyake ’s Autumn/Winter 2025-26 collection embodies the harmony between Japanese tradition and contemporary innovation . Presented during Paris Fashion Week , it explores the fluidity of movement through bold silhouettes and innovative materials. Sculptural robots lining the runway and dancing models accentuate the interaction between the human body and fashion, a tribute to the house’s creative vision. The collection draws inspiration from traditional pieces like the kimono, revisited with a minimalist and modern approach, punctuated by monochrome colors and organic patterns. Light textures and recycled fabrics blend to create architectural forms, while highlighting ancestral know-how. Under the direction of designers Sen Kawahara, Yuki Itakura and Nobutaka Kobayashi, this line reinvents Miyake’s legacy , proving that his visionary spirit remains as alive as ever, despite his passing in 2022.
