The Issey Miyake Homme Plissé fashion show
Freedom of shapes, joie de vivre and lots of wind. The Issey Miyake Studio presents the spring summer 2025 men's show during Paris Fashion Week.
"Up, Up, and Away", the official title of the men's spring summer 2025 fashion show , is based on the potential of clothes to take on new shapes when volumes are shaped by the wind. The creative studio of Issey Miyake Homme Plissé , desecrating the pleating technique from collection to collection, presents a tribute to the wind by showing the garments from the new collection during Paris Fashion Week.
The wind guides the entire collection. The silhouettes and shapes begin to change with the " Kite " selection (precisely from kitesurfing) which is inspired by the concept of the kite, offering modifiable garments thanks to a study on buttons. Another reference for the collection is the parachute that glides on the wind currents, exemplified on the "Parachute" garments with strategic openings that allow the wind to upset the volumes. All presented with the new colourful “Windswept Plaid” summer prints. The capes glide with slits for the arms, jackets and trousers with a utilitarian character and parkas that release in flight.
This means letting yourself be carried - or at least inspired - by the wind. The result is a collection in which bodies free themselves from the constriction of clothes, rewarding movement, with dynamism.
