Bella Thorne: "Fashion is an art that I can wear, and that evolves with me"

Before discovering the Vetements spring-summer 2025 show, L'OFFICIEL was able to meet actress Bella Thorne to talk fashion, daring and projects.

L’OFFICIEL: What is your first memory of Vetements?
Bella Thorne: Ooh, my first memory of Vetements has to be seeing their oversized hoodies everywhere. I remember thinking, "This is SO me."

LO: What do you like about this brand?
BT: I love that Vetements is always pushing the boundaries. It’s a bold brand, but it’s very wearable. They don’t follow trends, they create them. It’s like they make clothes for people who aren’t afraid to stand out, and that’s what I love.

LO: How would you describe Vetements’ style in three words?
BT: Bold. Fearless. Rebel.

LO: And yours?
BT Eclectic. Unapologetic. Fun.

LO: Can you tell me about the outfit you are wearing to attend the show?
BT: I'm wearing an oversized leather jacket, no shirt, with killer boxers and sleek black pants — it's a perfect mix of masculine and feminine energy. It's all about contrast for me today.

LO: What is your relationship with fashion?
BT: Fashion is another form of self-expression for me. It’s my way of communicating who I am without having to say anything. I consider it an art that I can wear every day and that evolves with me.

LO: Is there a fashion icon that inspires your style?
BT: Absolutely. I've always loved Rihanna 's approach to fashion. She's fearless and makes every look her own, whether it's a couture outfit or something very casual. She doesn't care what people think, and I love that attitude.

LO: What shows will you be attending during this Paris Fashion Week?
BT: I have several planned! Vetements , obviously, then Balmain , Casablanca , and always one or two surprises.

LO: Which one are you most looking forward to and why?
BT: I’m really looking forward to Vetements. I’ve always loved the brand’s vision — it’s bold and thoughtful, but still very sophisticated.

LO: Do you have any upcoming projects?
BT: Yes! I have a few projects in the works, but one that is really close to my heart is this new film project I am working on. I can’t say too much yet, but let’s just say it is going to push some boundaries in a way I have never done before as a director. Also, I am launching my THORNE jewelry line at Walmart on October 1st in 500 stores and online! That means a lot to me. I can’t wait for you to see it and stay tuned for more on the film! THANK YOU! Hugs!
