Meet - Lio Tipton
The American actress and model Lio Tipton is known for her roles in the films Crazy, Stupid, Warm Bodies and Two night stand. We met the likeable actress in LA and chatted with her about her career and upcoming projects on the sidelines of our shoot.

What originally inspired you to pursue an acting career?
I've always loved writing stories, but I wanted to be closer to them. I wanted to be the characters experiencing being part of a collective imagination. At the end of the day, I guess I'm forever striving to pretend.
What are some of your other passions besides acting?
Making music is a big topic for me. My ambition has always been to write and direct, which I'm still working on.
Who are some of your biggest influences as an actor?
Ginger Rogers - when I saw her on Stage Door I was just blown away by the whole cast. Giulietta Masina: gorgeous to look at (so much so that I was her for a year from La Strada for Halloween)
What were some of the biggest struggles you've had to face to get to this point in your career?
self-esteem and self-acceptance. This is an industry and career where I often hear "no," and as an actor, it's easy to relate my self-esteem to how or if I'm accepted by my peers. One day I have "it" and the next day I'm wondering if I'll even get to work. The lack of structure suits me and drains me. And nerves – auditions are hell for me. pure hell. I'm shaking, sweating and forgetting my lines - it's so different from the set. Pooh. Audition.
What's the best advice you've received?
"Always strive to work with others who are more talented than yourself," because the lessons to be learned from being on set with experienced actors are priceless.
How did your role in "A Family Friend" differ from any other role you've played?
I had never played a real life character before. It was a unique challenge to research and try to find a way to both honor who I played and make it my own.
Can you tell us a little about one of your upcoming projects?
I'm hoping to release more updates soon, but I'm very excited for what's to come in 2023. Including a new album in the works.
