Everyone knows and has grown attached to the character of Bridget Jones , played by the brilliant Renée Zellweger . We love her because she embodies with humor and sincerity the imperfections and uncertainties that many can identify with. Her authenticity, her clumsiness, and her desperate but touching quest for love and happiness make her deeply human. The synopsis

The fourth installment in the cult classic *Bridget Jones saga is Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy . Based on Helen Fielding's 2013 novel, the film follows Bridget, now in her fifties, as she navigates the challenges of being a single mother while returning to the dating scene after the tragic loss of Mark Darcy... and of course, more wild romantic encounters. This new chapter promises the familiar mix of humor, romance and quintessential charm that made the previous films a fan favourite.

The casting

Renée Zellweger reprises her iconic role as Bridget Jones, alongside Hugh Grant as the charming but troublesome Daniel Cleaver. Interestingly, after her character's presumed death in the third film, the actor's return adds an intriguing twist to the story. Emma Thompson will also be back as the straightforward Dr. Rawlings. New faces joining the ensemble include Chiwetel Ejiofor and Leo Woodall as potential new love interests, with Isla Fisher and others adding a new dynamic to Bridget's world.

The release date

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy will be released in theaters on February 14, 2025, Valentine's Day. You already know what's in store for this day of love!
