Five of the best: Ibiza’s Christmas Markets
From food to art to locally made crafts, Ibiza’s Christmas markets are festive and fun.
Agora
This established artisan market runs every Friday on the terrace of the Agora, the sustainable Six Senses boutique curated by fashion insiders Daniela Agnelli and Tiffanie Darke. Expect handcrafted goodies from the likes of Bomé and Crystal Mountain, along with rugs, jewellery and Virginia Acosta’s fabulous painted tarot cards.
San Antonio Christmas Market
2 – 31 December
San Antonio’s seafront promenade is almost as popular in winter as summer (if a little less hectic!). The Christmas market runs from 2-31 December and offers seasonal gifts along with live music, children’s activities, food stalls and festive drinks.
The Hub
Saturdays 3 - 17 December
The Hub has pulled out all the stops this year, with a festive set-up that’s part market, part wintry extravaganza. The market is aimed firmly at families, with tons of activities and entertainment for the little ones along with market stalls, cocktails, live music and film. A five euro entry fee includes a donation to Ibiza’s orphanage.
Ibiza Town
Open every day from 3 Dec – 6 Jan
The classic Ibiza Christmas market takes place each year on the pedestrianised hub of Vara de Rey. Mainly featuring crafts and local produce, it’s a great place to stock up on stocking fillers before heading for supper in one of the surrounding local restaurants.
Las Dalias
Every Saturday in December
Cult Northern fave Las Dalias is as atmospheric as ever during the festive season, with over 40 stalls selling leather goods, vintage clothing, handcrafted toys and Christmas decorations. Live music and a bar make it one of the most cheerful places to shop for Christmas goodies.
