Sun-kissed spring skin in Ibiza
Ibiza’s magical glow is a photographer’s dream. We don't know why, but somehow the golden light hits differently here on the White Isle.
Less is more is the big trend of 2024. Wellness within the beauty sector is thriving and we are all adapting to the new wave. There is a lot of skin-focused energy. Natural skin looks have been very much focused on celebrity culture right now in particular, beginning with Pamela Anderson unveiling her bare skin at September Fashion Week 2023.
So, no makeup makeup? How to combat that but still enhance our natural beauty? 'Lighting is key', says photographer Dara Dorsman, 'which the island provides for us photographers. On a beauty photoshoot on and off Ibiza, I have found that there are generally two methods to work with; a controlled lighting environment space or an uncontrolled one. But you can never really determine how you can pick up skin on camera.'
So let's talk about skincare. Whether you are a model or not this should be a big factor with your daily skin routine. We can't always depend on good lighting so nurturing the skin is important for us all, on and off camera.
