Good morning Ibiza,

For a full century, L'OFFICIEL has served as the official voice of fashion, beginning as the house publication of French couture in Paris and evolving into a 360-degree content company. With a specific focus on the way we dress and on what fashion creates, L'OFFICIEL has survived multiple revolutions. Now in its 100th year, L'OFFICIEL continues to lead the fashion, luxury and cultural conversations. Through our digital-first network of global titles, international exports, and unprecedented archives, we are driving discovery and defining trends while fostering a creative dialogue across cultures and continents, races and genders. The very first issue, in autumn 1921, was already in three languages - French, English and Spanish - and today L'OFFICIEL exists in more than 33 countries.

Our newest step is the launch of L'OFFICIEL IBIZA. The editorial manifesto? Discovering Ibiza's essence through a fashion and lifestyle journey. Crafting an aesthetic story capable of evoking the dualism of an island that has become, over the years, an exemplar for a new concept of living. Where wild, hippy roots have evolved into a generation of cosmopolitan globetrotters who have chosen this unique island, in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea, as an agora of culture and trends. Ibiza is pure creativity. A vibrant intersection of artists and craftspeople, designers and muses, musicians, DJs and activists. All are part of the contemporary culture who have chosen this island and continue to transform it into a space of experimentation, a territory of expression. A place to create the next, to model the contemporary. Outlining what will be in the fields of fashion, lifestyle, music, art and design. Ibiza is the space of the new before it becomes mainstream.

Our first issue reflects this spirit, thanks to two special projects. The first is a cover created with the Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan, who has produced an evocative artwork that reflects the birth of this new project. The second is a special shoot with Madonna - a global icon captured by Ricardo Gomes, with artwork by Portis Wasp and words by Riccardo Tisci. Tisci, the creative soul of Burberry and a passionate lover of this island, shares a longstanding personal and professional connection with Madonna. The line-up of this issue also embodies the essence of Ibiza, with a portfolio of individuals, photographed by Macs lotti and interviewed by Maya Boyd, who have chosen the island as their home. We have an overview of Ibiza's evolution and lifestyle, a journey to discover the island's native Ibicencan craftsmanship, and two fashion shoots set in this natural paradise.

There is also a series of interviews with those who have chosen Ibiza for its creative freedom. This diverse cast includes artist Miranda Makaroff, actress Golshifteh Farahani, music producer Cumhur Jay and model and modern activist Arizona Muse. There's the DJ Black Coffee, CircoLoco's Antonio Carbonaro and Chicca Senia, and Italian-born Anurag, who has been teaching ashtanga in the grounds of her sprawling finca for 30 years. Ibiza is the sum of all of this. Because, as the Spanish poet Antonio Colinas wrote, 'There is not one Ibiza, but many.' This magazine was born to honour all of the island's facets.

Thank you for joining us on this journey.
