Indulge in Comfort Food: The Perfect Homemade Garlic Bread

Veganize your comfort food thanks to the recipes of Marie Laforêt, high priestess of vegan cuisine. Here is the recipe for the famous garlic bread, to be enjoyed golden brown, straight out of the oven.

Ingredients for 4 to 6 people:  

35 g of flat-leaf parsley  

6 cloves of garlic, salt to taste  

200 g of vegetable margarine  

2 very lightly cooked baguettes (white)

Recipe :

Preheat the oven to 200°C (th. 6/7).  

Roughly chop the flat-leaf parsley, peel and roughly chop the garlic cloves. Place them with the margarine in the food processor with the S-blade and mix. Salt to taste.  

Cut the baguettes as if cutting slices of about 1 cm but without going all the way, stopping just before the bottom crust.  

Using a flat knife, generously spread both sides in each incision, all the way to the bottom. Place the baguettes on a baking tray and bake for 15 to 20 minutes. The baguettes must be well browned but not too brown, otherwise they will harden quickly afterwards.  

Serve on a large board or cut the baguettes in half if necessary and let everyone help themselves by detaching their piece of bread.  

You can absolutely spread slices of bread and brown them in the oven, but you wouldn't get the crispy texture on the top and the ultra-soft texture on the inside.  

Variations: you can very easily adapt this recipe by adding other herbs or with another type of bread (ciabatta, crown, etc.) or cutting (hedgehog bread, for example)
